Excersus CXXIII: I Just KNEW I'd Catch Up with You Guys!
Last week, I didn't feel much like writing anything in the wake of the Newtown shootings. Like I imagine all parents out there,
I was in a state of verbal semi-paralysis at the thought of what those people must be going through, and shuddering inwardly at
the potential for it to happen to any of us. I suppose it's expected to say something about how all of this relates to modern society,
mental health policy, and the like, but right now people are heading towards the funerals of children, and that is the time for awed
silence.
